  MDEIE Productivity Program
  Image de Mark—Marketing Strategies is pleased to announce its selection as a professional services vendor in the productivity initiative supporting Quebec manufacturing companies. We are part of the Blanchette Vachon consortium, which consists of ten qualified professional firms that will each address productivity program issues in its area of specialization.

Full description of the program
The productivity support program has a five-year $51 million budget, of which $44 million is to be allocated during the next four years. Eligible companies will be able to benefit from personalized coaching from vendors who must be qualified as expert resources by MDEIE. These resources will help implement an action plan aimed at making Quebec companies more productive and internationally competitive. Consulting services became available to companies in March 2008.

Who is eligible to participate?
The program is open to any manufacturing company that has annuals sales of at least $1.5 million and meets six of the following criteria:

• It is a strategic company within the region, or part of an ACCORD project niche
• It has export sales of at least $1 million, or supplies a company that does
• It has a management team
• It has an up-to-date strategic plan
• It has performed a detailed analysis of five or more corporate positions and has an action plan
• Its sales are steadily increasing
• It has sound financial resources
• It has good access to credit
• It has plans to invest over the next two years in human resources, knowledge, technology, and fixed assets

Coaching services provided
Services provided by multidisciplinary teams include

• Financial management
• Marketing—Image de Mark’s area of specialization
• Production
• Human resources
• Information systems
• Technological innovation
• Product development

Financial assistance
• Assistance consists of reimbursement of 40% of total project costs, not to exceed $40,000 per company. The maximum is increased to $50,000 for regional resource companies.
• A company may receive financial assistance only once during an 18 month period.
• MDEIE and the company will sign an agreement establishing financial assistance terms and conditions.
